ArtReach has created the concept of Night of Festivals as its own brand, an outdoor, free arts festival promoting themes of freedom, democracy and cultural diversity through delivery of innovative, but accessible, artistic interventions in public space. It is an event for all ages/backgrounds.
Night of Festivals 2010 will focus on Latin America with a special three day event to celebrate the Bicentenary of Latin American independence and the centenary of Mexican Revolution. The event will take place in the spectacular Old Market Square, Nottingham,16-18 September 2010.
The festival will involve and present digital arts (projections on a large outdoor screen), installations, live music, street arts, and processional performance involving many local community participants working with professional artists from Mandinga Arts and Paraiso School of Samba. Key partners include Nottingham City Council, Igniting Ambition, City Arts, Nottingham Contemporary and the New Art Exchange.
